Target audience: Medical students, students of laboratory technology schools, laboratory technicians, residents in hematology, medical doctors in private practice with or without a lab.
HemoSurf is an interactive learning program with over 3000 images of blood and bone marrow smears. HemoSurf is one of the richest collections of hematolgical images on CD-ROM. Additionally, the quality of images is excellent. The images can be accessed by two ways: on one side embeded in a didactic concept that enables the learners step by step to recognize blood and bone marrow cells and to interpret hematological findings; on the other side in a gallery of over 60 diseases with blood abnormalities in blood and bone marrow smears. For each case example, lab results are provided. More thean 150 information units procide theoretical knowledge in context. The chapter on lab technology contains vidoes on the making and staining of blood films.
The comprehensive actualization of HemoSurf includes a new responsive layout, compatibility with new browsers as well as an update of the theoretical content.
